HFF ~ Fenced sunset!

A rare chance to grab almost a duplicate of a shot I took in 2014. A high local view in snow and warm light showing what is really a private drive and garden with a view towards my hometown of Oldham. It would have been nice to have more snow but I must be thankful for small mercies.

Hi Pete. I am quite amazed that you have not seen snow in Leicester as it is only about 75miles from here as the crow flies. We do pick up a lot of bad weather though being at the edge of the Pennines and I realise that a lot of bad weather comes to us via North Wales. I am pretty sure though that you see more sun and heat than we do. Co-incidentally it is sunny here at the moment. Glad you liked this one done only weeks ago.

It is diffucult to decide which one is better!
The old view is so beautiful! As you said it is just like a christmas card! This one was taken ten years later but so beautiful again!
The lights are great also in both of two pictures, snow a little less now, but the trees make more nice composition here!

Thanks for this Peter and apologies for late reply. I am glad that we saw quite a bit of snow on the limited days we had it. All in all, this was, I think, the third snowfall of the winter. Always nice to compare photos of yesteryear in comparable conditions.
