A great shot of the harbour Herb. I love Minehead. My parents used to take us to Butlin's in the 1960's, which we loved. There were 5 of us ranging from me, the eldest to my sister 12 years younger, so something for all of us :-)

Thanks a lot Rosa. A lot of people used to go to Butlins. It was badly damaged just before we got there in September. Glad this brought back memories.

A beautiful little historic harbor, have you ever been there on a treasure hunt? The privateers probably lost some gold too, they were mostly drunk ;)) HFF Herb!

Haha, I think our English has caught you out Karsten. Privateers are quite different from Pirates. (Privateers: an armed ship owned and crewed by private individuals holding a government commission and authorized for use in war, especially in the capture of merchant shipping.) That being said I bet there were some smugglers around here. Always good to see you.

I like to see low tide images Herb..........as they always reveal interesting stuff. I like the detail in the sea wall and the various mooring lines. A lovely collection of small boats too.

Butlins must have a job lot of those white structures.............this one is exactly the same as the one in Bognor Regis!

Nice to see you back Keith. Yes, harbours have a fascination for us. Yes, they do look somewhat alike. This one had suffered some damage by winds/floods just before we visited Minehead.

Die Piraten mussten auf die Flut warten, bis sie auslaufen konnten. Hier ist es gut, wenn man eine Doppelkiel hat, der gut aufsetzen kann.
