It looks as if it was already sunny. There are shadows from the benches. A lovely place to sit if there isn't a storm on the way.

Haha, well spotted Amelia. I titled this in a hurry and had not thought it through, as you observed very accurately. The weather actually improved somewhat and we had real blue skies later as we drank our coffees in the small resort here. A PiP of the village itself is now here too.

Yes indeed Gordon. It was somewhat windy and cool at the moments we passed here but normally a great spot. I have put a further PiP on here now to show one of the views in the opposite direction.

It would have been fireworks around here over the last few days. Hopefully all is calm again now. A great place to sit and wander.

I like the way the benches are arranged so everyone sitting on them gets a good unobstructed view. The sandy beach looks very inviting, I like the different blue tones of the sea and sky and there's some nice wave action going on!

Still natural, not overcrowded, not destroyed like my south... HBM Herb

We in Britain have many faults but destroying our coastal area's is not one of them Isabel. Lots of our coastal paths are protected and owned by our National Trust etc to ensure that nothing gets spoilt by new builds etc by people with money seeking only to enrich their personal lives. When I was in Portugal, I saw many wonderful bits of coastline where one simple could not go because of private housing developments.

Greed destroyed my country…
When I was young our Algarvian coastal villages were white, beautiful, flowery and people were poor but not as unhappy as some like to think.
Easy money came with mass tourism, and crazy concrete buildings arose, people selling their houses for what they thought was a lot of money but was not much regarding to what the builders made selling the apartments in the same area…
But we are a sunny region, over 320 sunny days a year, people from northern countries enjoy our winters and many retired spend winter months here because it is less expensive a full board pension than facing the expensives of heating a house in their countries, plus the food, the clothes…
No solution, destruction will go on, like in all sunny pleasant and not very expensive for richer countries places …
Today temperature reached 23°C in the shadow, in the sun you tan…

I must admit that we Brits, although unable to spoil our coastline are quite eager to spoil other people's by buying property on the coast of other countries. Spain too is a fine example of expensive properties belonging to Brits by the sea. Yes, we want everything -unspoilt coastline but then a nice private house and beach belonging only to us. Thus is our world Isabel.
