The pavilion looks beautiful Herb, but my eyes went straight to the star of the shot....that gorgeous burnt gold tree!! The three trees lined up by the pavilion also look good with their autumn blush. An excellent picture. Take care and have a good day. Rosa.

Each species has its own rhythm..
I also enjoy the effect of the long shadows on the grass

Thanks Judite, yes we still have golden trees, even today, but there are not as many now. Shadows are a natural add-on to this too. Great that you liked it.

Glorious light and long shadows..........and a very attractive looking pavilion.........but as Rosa has said it's that gorgeous golden tree that stands out the most. The other trees look very nice too, but have been completely upstaged.

Toz, Oldham has for many years been a most ugly dank town full of history best forgotten, filth, crime and a population that reflect the same. That being said, it is also blessed with the most wonderful population who would do anything for you, who care and try to look after nature. We are also blessed with beautiful surrounding countryside and many attempts in the life of the town to create beauty where there was none to start with. Alexandra Park is only one of such examples and my heart fills with pride as i do one of my many strolls through that every few weeks. It can be walked trough and through in an hour or so but it is well worth it if you are ever near. Maybe at the time you visit Dovestones again.

A lovely traditional park, when it was planted municipal parks department had wonderful gardeners with superb knowledge of plants, but times changed

I do like this scene. Of course the golden tree, but also the long shadows from the trees on the right fill in that expanse of grass.. Very well thought out as ever..
And yes, I did look large, and spotted the lion!!
