Autumn mist comes to Dovestones again.

Autumn mist comes to Dovestones again.
Autumn is often my favourite photographing season and with scenes like this you can understand why. After weeks of rain and characterless weather at last we get some autumn mist. So here I am at my favourite walking area with my camera again. Just like last year I come across some dreamy tranquil moments of calm as I gaze across Dove Stones reservoir itself. It is quite early but already these are many walkers here and the carparks are nearly full, perhaps thanks (maybe also to my regret) to people like me popularising this area with their beautiful pictures.
This starts a short series of photos, all taken in the same week, just minutes from my home during lockdown two.
Pip shows mist last year.

Like a big magnet, it draws me. no matter how sometimes try to resist. It is now much too busy for my liking but the scenery remains plus the weather, like this, takes no account of the number of visitors. Glad you liked it.

Yes, nature is going into hibernation here. We must tread quietly as we walk around the reservoirs with our camera's. My text, as you now know, tries complete the picture.

Good to see you here again Colin, and as a visitor to this area yourself I know that you understand my concerns. In these days of restrictive travel and at the same time the need to get more fresh air and exercise, areas like this are almost over-subscribed. Of course for me who remembers so many walks around here in complete isolation, it is disheartening to see discarded drinks bottles and rubbish but on the other hand, some pride in able to share my love of Dovestones with many people from quite a long way of now. I even talked to a couple from Hope Derbyshire that were here for the first time as I was taking this.

I like how it gets a little more mysterious towards the right side.
