Porth Mear, Cornwall

Porth Mear, Cornwall
Situated about 10km south of Padstow near Bedruthan Steps. Another grand coastal path walk brings us down to this small sheltered if not dangerous bay. A beautiful day and its lighting gives it quite a different feel to what it would look like in the storms that this coast often sees.

Very familiar because of the Cornish scenery, Herb but would you believe I've never been here!
One day I will complete my Cornish walks along the South West Peninsular Coast Path and do the bit between Newquay and Boscastle and also the section east of Polperro.
A lovely shot - the essence of the Cornish North Coast!

Thanks a lot Andy. Yes this part of Cornwall is just as interesting as the part including St Agnes. Like all these places the main towns such as Padstow are all packed in the Summer tourist months. You will not be disappointed on the Newquey-Boscastle stretch. We actually visited Looe for the first time too and again was pleasantly surprised. Got there via train from Liskeard.
