Horse Head nebula : Barnard 33 Do look large...
The shot that got my interest in deep space but not quite as you would normally see it.
The traditional view with a one shot colour camera RGB. This shot is SII as Red Ha as Green O3 as blue but RGB stars. As the Ha is the dominant element its usually very green but I have only kept a hint of Green. This shows you just how green the Hubble pallet is.
Glad to see this in real life I have never see the Horses beard before. Look closely you can see the shadow cast by the Nebula Back lit from behind. I have to work on getting the focuser set up and filter wheel balanced to be able to rotate the whole train to get the better view. The Filter wheel is very heavy so if you move out from inline the whole rig is thrown out of balance very badly.
QHY183M -10c 100 Odd shots 5 min each filter over five nights .. 30 shots each RGB 1 min exposure.

Steve Paxton club has replied to Herb Riddle clubI still have one and may be the last problem I have to face as a photographer of landscapes and real life. The rotation of the shot The problem of balance between the filter wheel and the main axis of the scope. I have the way in my mind to go and all but one part, next shot you should see is the horse in correct orientation and back ground horizontal across the frame if I am right.
Sounds easy but a huge technical set of problems and instructions to get the right View on screen. We take if for granted we can easily rotate view to get the perfect shot DSLR I did in the past with astro but a huge weight of the filter wheel is a big problem. I have all my parts its just the ones I have to purchase to suit astro work.
Dont ever think your stars are any less worthy of the stars that are out in space, While I try and bring to Ipernity what most never understand or can comprehend, I know you are one step behind me in appreciation. So your stars are just as worthy as mine, so thank you its never lost on me as we both know just how hard it has been to get here 5 years down the line..........................................................................................................................
