The day is a little like the curates egg but I decided to chance it and wander over to do some food shopping. I have a £10 voucher from Iceland so that was my first call. Bargains galore today and of course a £10 start. I booked the shopping to be delivered at 1:00 and sauntered over to B&M looking for bird nuts and fat balls for my feathered friends. The rain is sweeping through in heavy showers,just my luck with a trip to the doctors this morning. I manged to get there dry and my results were good. Blood pressure and cholesterol is fair but my BMI is still on the high side but improving. it is at 26 and should be under 25 still it's down from 28 six months ago. Christmas is on the way,it is not called The Holiday it is called Christmas .We all know where the name comes from so why the name change in recent years? I am not a Christian but would not insult Christians by calling it any other thing but Christmas. We have beautiful day here at last,before yesterday we had pleasant afternoons but rain kept interfering,yesterday was horrible. Last week or a few giddy days of shirt and shorts weather,lunch and an evening beer on the lawn yesterday the change was coming. Even though it was sunny the temps dropped rom 80f to 60f with a cold breeze making it feel even coooler. I have spent a great deal of time in the garden today,not working just relaxing and reading. I have all my photos set at copyright and this is plain on the pages despite this somebody I thought was a friend has posted a photo of mine featuring a young starling and passed it off as their own. After the two wettest days I can remember the rain is finally clearing and I can see the sky again. We have had floods along the promenade and on the mainland. There has been heavy flooding in town and the surrounding districts,some villages were cut off completely. A landslide cause rail delays just outside town and power cuts have been widespread and plentiful.
