It was a lovely sunny day today - albeit a tad windy, but because we'd not been out for a couple of days, we decided to nip to the beach for some fresh air........

The beach was quite deserted really ..............

Yet it was quite warm but here the wind was quite strong and after about an hour we decided that we were tired of the sand blowing in our faces and stuck in our hair so we came home.

However while we were sitting there, some old lady came past with her dog.

Now responsible dog owners always bring bags to collect their dog's poop and they are usually small bags - but we got a tad worried when we saw the size of the black bags she was carrying.............

Hells teeth - how much was she expecting her pooch to drop............ or was it for her? ...... whatever, we were very glad to see her go round the quay wall out of our sight!!!!! LOL

The sky was lovely and blue with the odd wispy cloud and a great vapour trail showing us that the plane was heading over the Atlantic to the States or maybe even Canada - apparently Nova Scotia is next land that way.

I also noticed a new naval ship had been finished and was moored up against the old quay wall at Appledore so they could finish its insides. It looks oldish to me, so maybe it wasn't a new one but one back for refurbishments. I may be wrong because we have a big thriving boat building industry in Appledore.

Mandi is going back to her husband and Turkey on Thursday and I will miss her terribly as you know. Well between now and Friday, we have so much to do, so please bear with me if I don't get round to everyone here.
