Hiya folks, sorry I haven't been on here for a while but Mandi is due to return to Turkey in a couple of days and we've been busy trying to get all things done that need to be done before she goes. Oh I will miss her. We get on so well and having her here is just wonderful. Still I know she belongs with her Turkish life and hubby.
Still the weather hasn't actually been terribly kind to us lately - strong winds, cold temperatures - you'd never think it was almost Summer time. Despite the cold weather the spring flowers are going crazy - and once again my driveway looks so pretty..........
I decided to inspect the driveway inbetween the showers and was accompanied, of course, by my two trusty cohorts........
Isn't it strange how they seem to know that you're just going to have a wander around and not going out for a shop or something. When I go out to do my shopping, they aren't anywhere around, but when I pop out into the garden for a wander, they suddenly appear and walk with me. It's lovely though....
The bluebells seem to be everywhere - I also noticed that there are lots of white bluebells when a few years ago they were very scarce.
As you can see the pale purple lilac is in great abundance - the driveway to the road is lined by these beautiful flowering trees.
Whilst I was down the driveway, I noticed my neighbour's beautiful gorse bush poking its head over my fence. As it's newly out, its scent is very strong - beautiful and very similar to vanilla......
Whereas once you come down towards the house, there are dark purple and white lilacs greeting you............
I've found a clump of cornflowers just starting to bloom - the tulips and daffodils have virtually gone now - the high winds and heavy rain soon sorted them out........
As you can see it won't be long before the other flowers will be out.
That's for all at the moment - I'll have more time to spare once Mandi has gone. I hope all is well with you all.
We had a quick trip to the beach and got worried a tad.....

here we too have had mixed weather, a couple of very frosty morning even.
None of my Lilac bushes ere anywhere near flowering, the leaves are still less than half normal size, my Japanese tree is beginning but the ones in the free area border are much further ahead.
Enjoy the coming week.
John.
