Studio singer Tom Bahler worked with Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Diana Ross, Sonny And Cher, B.J. Thomas, Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand, Billy Joel, once dated Karen Carpenter and was the associate producer of "We Are the World". Tom composed "She's Out Of My Life" for Frank Sinatra. Frank never recorded the tune but Michael Jackson sure did.
The Michael Jackson demo was released on the posthumous issue of "This Is It" in 2009 featuring his vocals and a solo guitar probably played by Larry Carlton.
Michael Jackson's 1979 multi-platinum "Off the Wall" debut album contained the Quincy Jones produced single that peaked at number ten on Billboard. Among the many notable musicians taking part on "Off the Wall" were Steve Porcaro, Jim Gilstrap, David Foster, Patti Austin Randy Jackson and Phil Upchurch.
