L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue is, as the saying goes, exactly as it says on the tin, an island in the middle of the R. Sorgue in Provence. And throughout it’s journey round the isle it has watermills. I made it my mission whilst staying at a campsite there to capture every one of them. I think I succeeded. I've always declared that I was brought up in the organ casing. My father was a talented musician, his favourite instrument to play was the organ and, as a child my favourite place to be was sharing the seat with him whilst he played. One of my favourite memories is that of him, after choir practice, asking me if the priest had left; on assuring him that we were now alone in the church he promptly launched into playing ragtime! Apologies to all my Iperfriends and visitors that I’m very 'in and out' at the moment. This continuing wet, cold weather is playing havoc with my fibromyalgia. Some days I can’t even get out of the house and I have to work hard to find enthusiasm for anything.
Hopefully it must warm up soon and the debilitating effects will die down a bit.
