I have tried different angles and the place from the Burgmauer is the only one where you can take a good picture of the main portal of Cologne Cathedral. I think that I succeeded very well to capture the cathedral completely. The Cologne Cathedral is the largest Gothic church in northern Europe. The twin towers that stand 515 feet (157 metres) tall.

The lights of the Philharmonic Hall have long gone out and for the shot I had only a short time, as the lights of the bridge would go out the same too.

For an aged and romantic atmosphere, I chose deliberately dark shades of gray and black for this night cityscape of Paris and only bright lights and shadows for the Notre-Dame Cathedral in the middle.

"copyright Tour Eiffel - illuminations Pierre Bideau”. I wanted to capture the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower at night and I think I succeeded.

Amazing view on Burj Khalifa, Dubai at night. With 828 meters, it is the world's tallest building. The photo was hand held shot on the rooftop of the 356 meters heigh Gevora Hotel without tripod at 1/13th, f/5.6, ISO 3200 and Canon 75-300 mm lens to capture the lights of the Burj Khalifa and the expanse of Dubai particularly sharp. It needs a steady hand and many shots.
