Droll. Those arches seem to have been made for pigeons. And they transform an austere geometric shot into one brimming with life.

Thanks, Bob. I think they're seagulls, though, keeping an eye on the food trucks in case someone drops their food. A popular pastime for Toronto gulls

Well observed and taken John...............I like the contrast between straight vertical lines of the background and the lighter curved arches. The pigeons add a bit of life to the image!

Thanks, Keith. As I mentioned to Bob, I think these are seagulls doing important work watching the food trucks at Nathan Phillips for dropped or abandoned food.

This image made me smile John. I wonder if there is a 'pecking order' to decide who gets the best position?!! If there are that many gulls there must be the chance of food. They are crafty birds and have been know to steal crisps etc from shops if the doors are left open!!

I love the curves against the lines in the background here. a super shot

Best wishes Carol

Thanks, Carol. Yes, the south side of the square is lined with food wagons. They have very strong beaks to pick up the food with, too. I saw one fly off with half a pizza once, And yes, the arches were a humble addition to the square but they contrast well with Thomson HQ in back and also with the ornate Old City Hall out of shot to the left.

All the best.
