Saturday 4 July 2015 (1417) - Manchester Metrolink 3020 turning from Drake Street into Smith Street on the approach to the Rochdale terminus. Near Fleece Street the double track goes to single for a short distance prior to reaching the terminus. The River Roch flows beneath this section of roadway under the town centre. To have had double track over the river covering would have required significant structural improvements.
