Eine Schönheit in Grün - A beauty in green

I've been on its trail for years and only rarely saw it briefly. We're talking about the small Green Hairstreak (Callophrys rubi), the only green butterfly in Europe. It is difficult to spot because, although it can be recognized in flight due to its brown wing tops (see PiP1, Photo: M. Virtala, Copyrighted free use, via Wikimedia Commons), but it is difficult to find after landing in the grass. It immediately folds its wings and shows its iridescent green underside, making it practically invisible. In the PiP2 you can see the green underside and some of its brown interior coloring.
This pretty butterfly has now become very rare in many areas of Germany; it is more common in Bavaria, but here it is on the warning list of the Red List of Endangered Species.
