A very cold spell in April calls for something warming. Hokkaido pumpkins don't need to be peeled, just deseeded. Cooked in vegetable broth with fresh ginger, ground cumin, coriander, cardamom, cloves. Blitzed and some lemon juice and sour cream added, coriander leaves on top- ready!

The salad went back in the fridge;-)

Wenn mir die jemand vorsetzt, esse ich sie auch. Mag die nur nicht zubereiten. Dem Fenchel geht es da noch schlechter, den rühr ich gar nicht an. Blumenkohl, Brokkoli und Salat frisch vom Feld mach ich mir aber gern mal. :-)

Fenchel gehört zu den Sachen, die manche als völlig eklig empfinden, so wie Blattkoriander- das scheint tatsächlich genetisch bedingt zu sein, dass es für manche Leute nach Seife schmeckt;-)
