Herzlichen Dank, Heidi! Dass im Sommer Eisberge vom Gletscher abbrechen und schmelzen, ist normal. Aber dass der Gletscher immer mehr davon produziert, ist es nicht mehr:-( Irgendwann kommt dann kein Nachschub mehr vom Inlandeis. Das zeigt inzwischen jeden Sommer riesige Wasserpfützen, die das Abschmelzen noch verstärken. Aber Hauptsache technologieoffen.....

Thanks a lot, Rosa! It will long be gone, indeed! It's quite normal in summer that glacers produce icebergs that then melt but that they produce ever more icebergs isn't normal.

Thanks a lot, * ઇઉ * ! That icebergs do melt once they've broken off from the glacier is the normal course of things. But absolutely not normal is the rate at which they are breaking off now. Sermeq Kujalleq where these come from is moving at an alarming rate helped along by meltwater:-(
