Ilulissat Icefjord

Ilulissat Icefjord is covered with large bergs and brash ice from Sermeq Kujalleq glacier. The glacier has considerably accelerated its retreat since the 1990s:

Danke vielmals, Udo! Dort vorne am Fjord hat sich der Gletscher schon sehr, sehr lange zurückgezogen, aber was weoter hinten passiert, ist in der Tat dramatisch.

Thank you so much, Keith! Sometimes I like to do this but I always use the smallest possible aperture and also underexpose by at least one stop. So far my sensor has survived;-)

Thank you so much, Amelia! The rocks were bare on the tops, but there were "valleys" in between with mosses, berry bushes and lichen, they grow as soon as it's a bit sheltered.
