Setauket Green I

Setauket Green I
Setauket Presbyterian (1812). The burial yard dates from the 1660s.

Setauket (Long Island) was a part of early Colonial Connecticut. Setauket was initially referred to as Ashford in the early Connecticut General Court's records.

The Green is a good example of a path branching signature with terminus. The branch to the left goes down to a ford site over what is now the Mill Pond that leads out to Old Field point. The right branch joins a path leading to Little Bay and on to Port Jefferson Harbor.
