CD 230 Hemingray 512s in service use
822 Clark Ave., Bluffton, Indiana
A shot showing a very old pole using three CD 230 Hemingray 512s in service use along Clark Ave. in Bluffton, Indiana. Looks like the insulation is coming off the conductors.

Matt Weldon has replied to Tony GlenMatt Weldon has replied to David DahleI'll agree in saying that's some pretty rough looking wire on the 2.4/4.16kV primary. CL&P's got a lot of that stuff up in the air on parts of their 4.8kV system, except in many cases the wire was fully insulated originally, so you'll see these big long strips of insulation peeling off of the conductors.
Also looks like they used a 5kV-class spool on the service drop for that transformer.
