CD 302 Hemingray Insulators in service use

CD 302 Hemingray Insulators in service use
Williams County, Ohio

A pole with four CD 302 Hemingray glass insulators still in service use in Ohio along highway 20. I must of counted about a hundred of them all along highway 20 in Ohio. Most are embossed with Ohio on the reverse side along with some Muncie Type in smaller numbers. This is a very rare sight today to see large colored glass pin type power insulators still in service use.

AstroElectric, austintaylor619, , SW Ohio Lines and 5 other people have particularly liked this photo

I wonder how old those insulators must be? I know this pole and line are pretty old, as it uses solid copper conductors.

The CD 302's were produced from the 1890's to the 20's.

Since I only shoot in raw format all my photos have to be photoshopped, but I try to get the photo to look the way that I saw the scene at the time.
