A Cathedral in the Desert : of course it has nothing to do with a cattedrale nel deserto in Italian.:)

I can't think of an expression like that in English: we would normally say that the (place) was (built) in the middle of nowhere to express the same idea.;) [Wordreferences]

'Built in middle of nowhere' is certainly correct - I took a look on Google Earth.. and several more of these places are scattered around the vast desert... amazing.. I suppose they are needed by the people that are in the region... // Thanks for the insight - Annemarie.. a HFF to you from Dj.
