Hi Don, IP is actually a photo platform.
I'm afraid that the AI/KI images will soon find a preponderance in it, although these are not actually photos.
What is your opinion on this?

Thank you for sharing your concern. The world is changing at breakneck speed. AI/KI has burst onto the scene. Some have found these developments disorienting.

Ipernity was established as a photo sharing site. However, it has broadened to include the "sharing" of "photos, videos, audio files, and blog entries," as well as "the global publishing of selected contents." The language concerning "selected contents" provides the platform with sufficient flexibility to evolve with change, including that which is unforeseen or unforeseeable.

Prior to the introduction of AI/KI, the world had witnessed the enormous growth of processing options for photos. Processing now takes photos far beyond what the camera can produce. Beyond the expanding frontier of processing options lies AI/KI. AI/KI is a still young tool for stretching creativity in visual artistic expression.

Art, including visual art, has always been about human expression. That quality has given it its enduring power to inspire and stir emotions across time, generations, and cultures. It has given it unifying power that brings people together.

From what I see at Ipernity, photos remain the predominant contribution. I don't see a problem with the sharing of AI/KI images. A dynamic, inclusive platform is one that has a far better chance of flourishing than a rigid one that is unable to evolve with a changing world.

I respect your opinion and appreciate your many photographic contributions. However, I believe that Ipernity is big enough to accommodate the full range of visual artistic expression, including expression through AI/KI creations.

Me parece bien que Ipernity recoja también la IA, pero preferiría que tuviera tres apartados: 1) Fotografía, 2) Audio y Vídeo, 3) INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL (IA). Así cada cual se afiliaría a los que deseara, un apartado, dos o completo. Don, tu si indicas que lo que compartes es AI, pero los visitantes deberíamos tener meridianamente claro que no se trata de fotografía para ir a lo que a cada cual le interese. Gracias.

Thoughtful image - I read an article the other day that suggested the message might strike home better if comedians started to use it in their acts. The theory is that it would hit home coming from them more than hearing about it from remote seeming scientists ...

There is actually a big discussion about climate change communication and its impact that is ongoing among scientists and others.

Music gone mad -or at least the imagination of it here! I take on-board the comment by Udo. I too have experimented in AI and find it a little frightening. Is it Ipernity? The powers that be -seems to think so and my comments here too, only reinforce the inevitable! I will stick to real photos for the time being in my gallery.

Es una bellísima creación. AI nos va a dar tema para múltiples reflexiones y discusiones, pero toda creatividad es por mí bienvenida siempre que sepamos el origen de cada cosa. Como pasa con los alimentos :-)).

J'aime la manière dont tu colore ta création avec différents tons de bleu.

My thoughts on AI: It will probably endanger the world when mixed with a military mind but if survived AI may save the world and help adapt to climate change. For now the artistic mind has a new tool and it can be used, as you do here, to highlight an idea or concern. i like it
