Klar, was soll man im jahr 2178 auch machen? Die roboter werden für uns arbeiten und es herrscht nix als gähnende langweile. Die kann man dann ein wenig durch strassenbahnfahrten unterbrechen, sofern man sich überhaupt noch das tagesticket für € 3425 leisten kann ;-)))

Ja; so könnt’s aussehen. Aber ob das wirklich Außerirdische sind, die da das sagen haben ? Da hab ich meine Zweifel. Vielleicht sind’s auch unsere Freunde von übern Teich, die es satt haben, dass die Europäer meinen, sie könnten ewig querschiessen. Und hier mal richtig ordentliche Verhältnisse schaffen. Und das natürlich irgendwelchen dahergelaufenen Intergalaktischen Okkupanten in die Schuhe schieben. Wir sind ja immer sehr empfänglich für Mythen und Verschwörungstheorien.

Ach, ich denke nicht dass die allgemeinheit auf mythen und verschwörungstheorien steht, das ist nur ein minderheit, einzelfälle sozusagen. "Wir" sind einfach nur zu idealistisch und zu wenig pragmatisch ;-) Das werden wir aber auch noch lernen, entweder von den ausserirdischen oder von anderen irdischen. Hoffentlich nicht von unterirdischen ;-))
Zuallererst muss man aber mal die wichtige fragen klären, ob UFOs nachhaltig sind und falls nicht, in welcher mülltonne man sie entsorgen darf? Oder ist das sondermüll und muss auf die deponie?? ;-)))

Ich hatte bei bing.com/create nur eingegeben: Karlsruhe, Kaiserstrasse, Strassenbahn, UFOs...und siehe da! Bing weiss genau wie die stadt zukünftig aussehen wird, nämlich erstaunlicherweise fast so wie sie einmal aussah ;-)

Sieht etwas ausgestorben aus im Vwergleich zu 1978. Vielleicht fehlt ja die Luft zum Atmen aber wie soll man dann Srassenbahn fahren?!

Die luft ist schon noch da. Es sieht doch ganz luftig auf dem bild aus ;-) Aber was sollen die leute auch draussen? Man fährt entweder strassenbahn oder fliegt im UFO von A nach B (notfalls auch wieder von B nach A) und alles andere macht man dann eh virtuell ;-))

A fascinating scene, it's good of the aliens to have retained so many of the old and now historic buildings from 1975 or earlier.

I guess these are historically minded aliens who appreciate monuments of the past ;-) We're lucky to be visited (or ruled?) by such intelligent and imaginative aliens ;-))

Back to the future and on to the past! ;-)
I've added a PiP of 2023 for you, you can still see the tracks (they're in the process of being removed...slowly, slowly) but no more trams. I seem to have this one only and it's Kaiserstrasse (Emperor Street) in the other direction.

How I did it? It's a top secret ;-)) No, it's not. It's easy and it's for free. All you need is an account with Bing.com/create. Then you can enter keywords for an image you'd like Bing to create...and you'll be in for a surprise! There's even a new AI Image group on Ipernity for it. Try it, Rosa, it's fun! :-)

Will it be fully pedestrianised when the tracks are removed? A bit of a shame that they are no longer needed :-(

It's an ok street. It might get better. Lots of businesses and shops have disappeared during the 10-year construction period of the underground. Kaiserstrasse is fully pedestrianized now, the tracks are no longer used. That street (it's one of the main streets in downtown Karlsruhe) has been a pedestrian zone since 1973 and I remember being there for the street party back then :-) Except...that the trams still ran through the pedestrian zone until the underground was opened last year. Now it looks a little empty without trams and who knows...they might need the tracks later on and will feel sorry that they removed them (also they could be used as a substitute route if, for example, the tunnel is flooded or on fire...dire scenarios, but you never know).
Underneath my futuristic image I described a somewhat more positive scenario for having the trams run above ground again ;-))

Danke, aber das ist gar kein foto ;-) Das ist ein KI kreiertes bild. Die keywords zum erstellen des bildes sind allerdings von mir. Die KI muss ja schliesslich wissen, was für ein bild ich gerne hätte :-)

I love the persistence of the original architecture, which has come back to replace the rebuilt city... (History is being erased, it's very fashionable!). This future retains the values of our past; it doesn't completely replace us, a bit like in Brazil after all (irreplaceable!).
I loved Luc Besson's 'Le Cinquième Element' (Das fünfte Element) for these reasons and for the same universe you suggest here (but which you don't create, alas ;)
However, the construction industry is in the process of replacing all the old houses around Paris with overpriced, soulless pseudo-luxury. I think a soulless world would be more representative of our future, and I think you're on board!

Karlsruhe is rather persistent. It pretty much looked the same ever since I can remember it and that was in the 1960s. Only back then it was in b/w ;-)))
Oh...but I did create this universe...at least the one that contains the futuristic city of Karlsruhe that you can see here ;-)

I'm shocked to hear this news about Paris (I would be about any city, in fact), so I guess I'll have to create a futuristic universe with a Paris of around 1900 ;-))

Ja, ich war auf einer kurzen zeitreise. Eigentlich wollte ich ja in die 1960er jahre zurück, aber diese zeitreise-UFOs hatten wohl einen software fehler ;-)) Dennoch habe ich die zeitreise genossen, aber meine reise in echtzeit in den wilden osten noch viel mehr! :-)
