World Cruises, 2009 and 2018
Folder: Crusing Travel
Our first World Cruise was in 2009, soon after retirement. We got to see all of the "famous" places, such as the Taj Mahal and Pyramids. We didn't know how good this all was, as the world has changed a lot since then.
In 2018, we decided on another one, so we spent 4 months on the Amsterdam, circling the world.
Most of the cruise was spent south of the Equator.
We revisited several places, and…

Hong Kong at Night
Every time we've visited Hong Kong, the night views have been spectacular. In the old days, it was incandescent bulbs, then neon. Now, vast amounts of LED's (and lasers) light up the night sky.
This is an example of the very good high ISO capability of the Panasonic GX85.

Party Boat in Bali
This "pirate ship" party boat came very close to our cabin on the cruise ship. The noise was deafening. This shot of the party-goers was made possible by the high-ISO capabilities of the Panasonic Lumix GX-85.

Singapore Wheel
The "wheel" in Singapore is well-lit with many colorful LED's and changes.
Taken with the Panasonic Lumix GX-85.

Just Park Next to the Wall, It'll Be OK (HWW)
Saw this seriously decayed car parked near our cruise ship in Dakar, Senegal.
Looks like someone parked it, and forgot it.

Dubai Gold (H.A.N.W.E.)
Taken on our world cruise in 2009. We wandered through the various souks in Dubai, and came to the area where the gold sellers were located.
The brilliant color really caught my eye.

My Office Door Is Always Open (HFF)
Open door Sunday Challenge. This "office" was a small building in one of the locks of the Panama Canal.
This 2018 transit was yet another Canal one for us (10 so far?), and it was made more interesting by torrential rains.

Square Fence, Phuket (HFF)
An iron fence I saw during our tour in Phuket.
(Squares in squares, etc. Also some flowers inside some of the squares.)
Much manipulated in GIMP to get it into a square format.

Wires
We always find it fascinating to look up in larger cities. In this case, Manila provided quite the "wired" view. Taken through a bus window, so there are reflections.
