Godrevy, for Pam.

Photos for Pam - 100 + photos, mainly of Cornwall, because as Pam herself once told me; "That is where my heart is!"

In support of Pam J in her recovery programmes and a sincere wish for a quick and total return to normality!

From my flat at that time. Hortaleza, Madrid. For Pam. On reflection, I've posted a few sunrise (and fewer sunset) shots over the years but I think this has to be my favourite!

I don't normally like to take shots of private houses and gardens without permission but this was tempting and so open to public view from the lane down to Church Cove that I couldn't resist. It also reminded me of many aspects of a few gardens I had fun tending over the years. Sight and Sound: Percy Grainger's 'country gardens'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e72pG3V3asQ

Taken from the South West Peninsula Coast Path. For Pam. I like to stroll along the crest of Samphire Island. Quite a few of my shots have been from there, such as this recent upload: www.ipernity.com/doc/2247598/47733630/in/album/1036936

North Cliffs from The Knavocks. For Pam.

A great sky. The Godrevy coast is behind me and North Cliffs stretch ahead to St Agnes. Hell's Mouth is in the mid distance. I have just about run out of my 2018 summer shots from Cornwall and, although I still have a few more from the archives, I would dearly love to get some more this year!

A perfect day for the light. (And there's Del Boy on his jet ski having finally crossed the Atlantic! Sorry to all who have no idea idea what I am talking about - UK TV 80s and 90s classic is the reference - Only Fools and Horses. And I wish they would show them here in Spain!). For Pam.

This is taken from higher up than most of my Porthcadjack shots. Samphire and Asparagus Islands can be seen at the left with only their tops showing. Crane Islands are mid distance and the North Cliffs, Hell's Mouth and Godrevy coasts are further off. In the very far distance are the hills of West Penwith beyond St Ives and getting closer to Land's End. My mum did an oil painting from this shot and just last week, it won first prize in the St Day arts and crafts show, not just in the painting category but for the whole exhibition too. Yes, she is dead chuffed, and rightly so!
