Amazing to imagine people having to lift those huge slabs of stone by hand - no machinery to help out. I suppose they must all have had muscles the size of potato sacks!! This is an amazing shot of these old stiles.

... and yet Stonehenge posed far greater challenges to these people. We dismiss our ancestors too readily, imho!

Hi Andy, we finally visited your Cornwall. It has been a fantastic long walk along the coast path. We have been impressed by the beauty of the places. It could have been enough to say that our experience was really positive. However what we have also liked was the kindness of the people in Cornwall; everybody was so friendly: people along the paths, workers in the Coop or at the gas station. We had the chance to meet people in the villages (they simply stopped us just to exchange two words). What a beautiful journey! I think we will get back to Cornwall again…
