A Latterbarrow view.
A vintage view from this popular peak overlooking England’s largest lake: Windermere. In the distance we see the village of Ambleside guarded by the peaks of ‘Fairfield Peak’ (snowy outcrops) on the left , ‘Red Scree’ centre and ‘Ill Bell’ (pointed Peak) on the right.
On this side of the lake, in the woods, we can just about see Wray castle too. See PiP
Enjoy.

The distant peaks make a magnificent background and I love the colours, particularly the wonderful brown of the dead bracken in the foreground. The whole image has a painterly feel to it.
Nice to see the "castle" again too!
