Out into the mist

Out into the mist
A new day here on the northern coast of Normandy, France. The mist comes and goes as this group sets of to walk alongside the very high and dangerous cliffs that lie just a few metres to the left. ..Some minutes later they retreated back having decided no doubt that it was a bit too dangerous, opting instead, like us, to take the safer steps down to the seaside town of nearby Etretat.

Andy Rodker, Erhard Bernstein, Steve Paxton and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Mist and dangerous cliffs is not a good combination as far as I am concerned Herb!! What a good and atmospheric picture though....I hope all came back safely! Rosa.

Hi Rosa, I and lots of other visitors here thought it was good but as with everything in the countryside, extra care had to be taken in these conditions. The mist actually slowly cleared away as time went on. I am pretty sure these walkers all returned ok and happy.

Wow! Good decision to abort that walking route..............but at least you got a decent shot of them before they did. Wonderfully atmospheric!

Yes Keith, I took a lot of very misty shots up and around here. I did not see where these guys eventually got to but judging by the size of their packs, they were going to be out for a while.
Glad you liked this one, Herb
