  • To shoot or not to shoot strangers?

Seen one day on the street
Lately I have given a great deal of time and thought for what is commonly called as "street photography". It is more or less a genre of taking images of people one does not know. Usually it is about images of people in urbain area, but it can be any human figure seen anywhere. Please have a look at this Jamie Windsor's video 'Why you SHOULDN'T do STREET PHOTOGRAPHY' and give it a thought. So far street photography that includes human figures have never been my genre, and I guess it…

  • Hoarding

My kid sister is a hoarder. I’m talking big time here. Furniture, books, material, statues – what’s that about? Seriously, she could open a mausoleum with the creepy-arse statues she has in her home. I love her to bits, like her too, but her house never feels comfortable to me due to so much stuff in it. What got me thinking about this? I had to renew the house insurance ready for next month, and although I have some nice furniture here, nothing I own is of significant value. Whilst I like my…

  • Time

Over the weekend I phoned my kid sister; we both have ‘free’ calls on the weekend if we natter for under an hour. Is it Saturday already she asked? No, I truthfully replied; it’s Sunday. It was her turn to call, and somehow, she’d lost a day. She’s not working, medically retired, however her partner works so he must know what day it is. How can one lose a day? A whole day? It got me thinking about time. When we natter, I have to keep an eye on the time because if we go over the hour, we get char…

  • Thank Goodness For Ipernity

I've been reading today about all the myriad problems they're having over on Fl*ckr still and all the new ones as well. They are literally imploding right in front of our eyes over there! Thank goodness we have a photo-sharing website like Ipernity that just works and does all we need it to. Plus, we're not given continuous "improvements" all the time that are anything but improvements. To show how I feel so warm and fuzzy about this place, I'll add a cute picture of a kitten so everybody…
