It was usually made of an albumen print, which was a thin paper photograph mounted on a thicker paper car…

Please describe a little bit the content of the sign, so that also non-native speakers can understand the meaning of the sign, if the sign is not self-explanatory.
Furthermore it should be a special sign, which is not commonplace, the hundredth "one-way street sign" is somehow not very interesting in the sense of the group.
Whilst there are numerous groups on ipernity concerning cars, this new group is the first of its kind to be created specifically for automobilia and so I hope it will prove to be hugely popular.
For those who are not familiar with the term, automobilia is a portmanteau of the words automobile and memorabilia. It can be used to describe any historical artefact or collectible linked with motor cars and related areas.
Items considered to be automobilia might include motoring art or even literat…

A place to share your photos of all aspects of North American railroading including shots of: Moving trains - passenger and freight;
Locomotives and cars;
Streetcars, trolleys and light rail systems;
Tracks and railscapes (even without trains); and
Towers, signals, signs, bridges and other railroad structures.
Both contemporary and historical shots are welcome.
NOTE: Please put photos of passenger stations and depots in the American Train Station group.
Aerial ropeways, teleferics, cable cars, blondins or even 'danglebahn'; whatever you call them they are all welcome in this group that celebrates transport suspended from a cable. In Australia and New Zealand they call cable lifts (Blondins) flying foxes, as in their megabats! Disused and derelict examples are just as interesting as those still operating.
Inclined planes are equally welcome as these have similar functions without the vehicles leaving the ground.
The purpose of this group is to remember the Station Wagon and what it stands for - hauling around families and lots of groceries! Pictures of old or new station wagons, sport wagons, woodie wagons or whatever you've got are welcome here!
In here, we all can post photos that we 'really think are EXPLORE worthy' ..
If you see one that fits, ask the person who posted it to add to our Virtual EXPLORE Group ..
We need to make these wonderful photos posted for all to see !
Will kick out any adverts ... just sayin' ......
