I must also ask that the images are in good taste and you would be happy to show them to your 94 year old Granny. I will monitor the pictures occasionally simply to maintain the variety and quality so no dumping please. I want the group to be a quality celebration of rail transportation.

Settle & Carlisle Line:- Carlisle to Hellifield.
West Coast Main Line:- Gretna Jn to Lancaster.
Cumbrian Coast Line:- Carlisle to Carnforth.
And anything in between.
Shunter, Switcher, Yard Goat. Call it what you will. Lets hear it for the humble shunter, the unsung heroes of the railways. Steam, diesel or electric. Any gauge, any era, worldwide. Only locomotives built specifically for shunting, please. No photos of main line locomotives engaged in shunting operations, there's enough groups for those.
