The Dongba Scripture

29 Jul 2008 1 1 1104
The smart and unsophisticated Naxi people who have long inhabited Lijiang preserve the unique and profuse Dongba Culture. Dongba Culture is of a religious nature and make up the most important component of the ancient Naxi culture. Dongba scriptures are believed to be as old as the inscriptions on bones and tortoise shells from the Shang Dynasty (16th century - 11th century BC).
