A whale watching tour is an important part of every sightseeing program, although our tour almost was a bid disappointed due the heavy and rainy weather. The whales haven't jumped out the water because of the wet rainy day ... ?

Hot springs near Reykjavik

Hot springs are found all over Iceland, but they are rare in the eastern basalt area. There are about 250 low-temperature geothermal areas with a total of about 800 hot springs. The average temperature of their water is 75° Celsius. The largest hot spring in Iceland, Deildartunguhver, has a flow of 150 liters of boiling water per second. Some of the hot springs are spouting springs or geysers. Springs charged with carbon dioxide are to be found in some districts, mainly in Snaefellsnes, but have not yet been utilized. Since the last Hekla eruption, springs rising from under the new lava have also been found to be charged with carbon dioxide.

Landakotskirkja (Landakot Church), formally named Basilika Krists konungs (Basilica of Christ the King) in Reykjavik is the Catholic cathedral of Iceland.
It is often referred to as Kristskirkja (Christ's Church). The first Catholic priests to arrive in Iceland after the Reformation were the frenchmen Bernard Bernard and Jean-Baptiste Baudoin. They bought the Landakot farmstead in Reykjavík in the early 19th century and built a small chapel there in 1864. A few years later, a small wooden church was erected by Túngata, close to Landakot.
