In the course of a century or so, only a small part of the Laanstraat has been left more or less unchanged.

Most newly wed couples take this exit, surrounded by friends and relatives and admired by shoppers who happen to pass by. Some, however, prefer the back door...

This is were I saw my first movies. On the long run, my home town Baarn couldn’t afford the luxury of a real movie theatre, and a drugstore chain moved in ... not this one, BTW.
