The Lighthouse on the end of the breakwater at Ardrishaig, Lock Gilp, Argyll and Bute, Scotland
This breakwater shelters the eastern end of the Crinan Canal which flows coast to coast saving the long and dangerous trip around the Mull of Kintyre,
Loch Gilp itself is an offshoot on the western side of the much larger Loch Fyne,
HBM and a nice week to all!

With the dramatic Island of Arran as a backdrop these lovely ladies were taking a lunch break on the quayside at Carradale, which is the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula, They spent a while chatting with my wife and were happy for us to take photographs,
This is 16.9 format so a large view would be appreciated. HBM and a nice week ahead!

Another image from the archives once again it's 2018,
This is Loch Fyne at Inveraray Pier with the Clyde Puffer "Vital Spark" She was launched in 1943 as "VIC 27" (victualling inshore craft) These ships were a World War II derivative of the iconic Clyde-built puffers which, for nearly a century, were the lifeblood of coastal communities up and down the west coast of Scotland.
She was the “"the smertest boat in the coastin' tred", with her blood red hull, shiny brass whistle and cargoes of anything from Heilan coos to furniture, and plenty of whisky.
She also starred in the mini-series, Para Handy – Master Mariner
I recommend a large view,,,,,,, HFF and a lovely weekend to all!
I have a link to a programme on the Clyde Puffers for anyone who may be interested,

Port of Ness village, Isle of Lewis, Outher Hebrides, Scotland, HWW!
Nis, or Ness, is the most northerly parish in Lewis. It has the highest proportion of Gaelic speakers in Scotland, over 90%. It was settled by the Norse and its story since then has been closely tied to seafaring and to the sea.

A typically damp day in Glencoe, and a view of the "Allt Coire nam Beitheach" watercourse as it tumbles down from the valley between the mountains. This is captured from the bridge over the River Coe at Achnambeithach,
The cloud covered mountains are "Stob Coire nam lochan (1115m) on the left and "Stob Coire nam Beith" (1107m) on the right,

An image from 2011 showing a peaceful Ullapool as it used to be,

Pleased to say I have many images of the route before it's popularity changed it forever!

The ruined Carnasserie Castle looks down across the landscape from it's high vantage point, also with commanding views over the southern approach to Loch Awe. This 16th-century tower house held an envious position!
HFF and a good weekend,,,,,,,,, A large view if you are able!

A wide angle view of a small section of the flat lands that are the Somerset Levels, . The levels have an area of 160,000 area (650 km2) with the majority of land just above sea level,
This waterway is the North Drain so called because that's what they do, drain the levels., they are fed by a series of Rhynes pronunced Reens (Ditches) which surround almost every pasture.
Originally captured for World Photography Day
HFF and a good weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in 16.9 format so a large view recommended,
