A small but important fence on the River Brue at Burnham-on Sea, The image also shows clear evidence of the huge tidal range in Bridgwater Bay. For an idea of the tides on the 6th April, Low water at 12.42pm was 0.6m and High tide at 06.42am was 11.6m a mean différance of 11m (36.08924 ft) Ref www.tideschart.com › United-Kingdom › England › Somerset › Bridgwater-Bay The Brue flows into the River Parrett just before it flows into the bay and out into the Bristol Channel HFF and a good weekend, ---------------- Large view recommended!

Winter sun and low tide on Bridgwater Bay at Burnham on Sea, The beach lighthouse was used in conjunction with a high on shore lighthouse to guide shipping into the River Parrett and up to the port of Bridgwater, The bay is part of the Bristol Channel which has the second highest tidal range in the world at 11m (36ft) and at low tide exposes extensive mud flats and sand bars, The island of Steep Holm is the distance. Large if you please Many ships have run aground on the sand bars and mud banks so my link for sight and sound, Stuck on You, www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSCRumqmdQg

Leaning tower

The late 14th century tower of the Church of St Andrews, Burnham on Sea is a grade one listed building It is reputed that a plumb line dropped from the north side of the 78ft high tower is 3 feet from the building at the base, Image taken as the December Sun sets across Bridgwater Bay. Building the church on sand dunes is the most likely reason for the settlement. Large if you please Struggled for a music link www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgmQ9RfqQJk
