Interplanetary Visitor

25 Nov 2024 1 43
With all of the recent revelations about aliens visiting Earth, I was not overly surprised to meet one the other day as I strolled down the neighborhood street. Even though he was armed to the teeth (if he had teeth, that is), he seemed like a friendly interplanetary visitor. After exchanging pleasantries we went our own ways. This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and KOWA 1:2.8/85mm lens with a Kowa L1A ø67 filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.

Peril Lurks Around Every Corner

01 Dec 2023 19 22 246
Peril Lurks Around Every Corner It is a dangerous world out there! The headlines are full of violence and hate crimes. Paranoid citizens are stockpiling weapons and barricading themselves behind fortress-like residences. It is a lethal risk just shopping at the mall or enjoying a drink at the local club. That is why I have hired security to accompany me when I must leave my residential stronghold. So far, I have experienced no problems. In fact, merchants quickly agree to my request for a senior discount! This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera with a Kowa 1:3.5/55mm lens and Kowa L1A ø67 filter using CineStill 50D film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Elven Plea

26 Jun 2021 5 2 134
Elves are known for being elusive to the point where they are considered mystical beings. They only emerge from their secret realm when dire circumstances threaten the world. Under this state of affairs, a representative of the elven council has appeared seeking an audience with the rulers of the Upper World. Surprisingly, I have been chosen to contact the world’s leaders with an urgent plea to stop humanity’s destructive ways that threaten all life on Earth. This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and KOWA 1:2.8/85mm lens with a Kowa L1A ø67 filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop

Wise Oak

When the wise old oak saw me approach with a camera he exclaimed, “Keep your distance, sir!”. Seeing that I was not practicing proper distancing protocols, I stepped back and changed to a telephoto lens. Wisdom is a valuable quality these days! Gone Fishin'

Are We There Yet?

It seems endless. Since the calamity began we have been adrift with no sign of normal life ahead. Like the animals stranded on the Ark we look at the horizon, hoping to see a safe landing. Hoarder

10 Apr 2020 15 19 310
Some residents just can’t help themselves in times of stress. They hoard essential items, stashing them in their homes as if preparing for an apocalypse. Yes, this piggish behavior of hogging everything on the store shelves is not only unnecessary, but it is a selfish act against the community. This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and a Kowa 1:2.8/85mm lens with a Kowa L1A ø67 filter using Fuji Reala 100 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
