I'm not sure which era these cannonballs were from, but they appeared to be stone (this may have been an optical illusion), which could mean either that they were very, very old, or simply that they were replicas. I did note that they were mortared together, although this might have been to prevent vandalism.

Some of the cannons are still in place on the parapet around the Kastellet. I can't tell which ones still work and which ones don't, but this one at least has a cap on the barrel.

Here's one of the cruder looking towers on the castle wall, again a great shot to take in the snow. I really like the cannon up there in the gun port. It's a nice detail, don't you think?
