Here was the farewell view as we departed Petrovice, across the border into Poland. From this point onward, it started to get dark, although I did take SLIDES, which aren't going to be displayed on Flickr until they make it into an NRHS show.

Not all Czech and Polish trains are rundown vandalised junkers. The international trains, in particular, are generally kept up, and this is a Polish example operated by ICC, a contractor for PKP, the Polish Railway (If I'm wrong on this then someone correct me).

This was the destination board on the Polonia, and so given its exoticism by my standards I snapped a shot while we were still waiting to depart.

This shot is slightly out of order with the others, but not too much. It's another Lomo-like shot taken with my Nikon. I'm not sure if this factory is still active, but it looks bit worn.

Here's yet another Lomo-like shot from my Nikon, still rolling through the railyards of Ostrava.

Here I am on probably my first-ever visit to Ostrava, unless I passed through here on my way to Slovakia or Hungary (I don't remember). Ostrava used to be a major mining town, but the mines have all closed now, and the place is more of an up and coming centre for the arts.
