Trams, Karlovo Namesti, Prague, CZ, 2007

Here's a new Skoda 14T in line with a Tatra T6A5 built about ten years earlier. A telling illustration of how much time has passed since 1989 is how both are post-Communist.
Tram In "Arch," Karlovo Namesti, Prague, CZ, 2007

There are a number of places in Prague where you can see this, and at first I forgot which one this was. Nevertheless, Dewberry85 of Flickr tipped me off. This isn't an arch at all, but a tram window!!! See the comments below for more info. I don't consider this shot to be in any way a finished one, and I'm really thinking about going back into the editor and getting rid of those light leaks, as I think if those issues were solved people would really like this one.

He did eventually fix this, but I had to run for my tram and I didn't get the shot. Still, I like this as sort of a "railway workers at work" shot.

Most of the tram tracks in Prague have rubber sealing gaskets alongside of the rails, I assume to keep them from rusting in half or getting damaged by frost action. This machine is designed to install the gaskets quickly and accurately.

Here's an alternate to the other beautiful shot (I think) that I did a few seconds before this one.

How did these get out of order? I have no idea. In any case, I think I got lucky with this one, too.

This may be my best Lomo color shot so far in Namesti Bratri Synku, in spite of my shooting more Lomos of trams here than anywhere else. I don't know, what do you think?

This might be one of my best tram shots all year, possibly. I really love the yellowness of the sunlight, and the vintage colors on everything (courtesy of the Lomo). I hope you agree, so I'm going to post this as many relevant places as I can.
Skoda14T Pulling Into Hradcanska, Prague, CZ, 2007

This Skoda 14T, I think DPP #9115, was pulling in as I was waiting to go to work one day, and for some reason I wanted to snap a picture. What do you think?

Here's another one.....with a light leak. Therefore, that makes it artistic. :-) :-) :-)

Here's a better shot of the Praga, without any really noticable light leaks! :-)

DPP have a fleet of these 60-some-odd-year-old Praga trucks for trackwork, which only started getting replaced by modern Mercedes equivalents in the past few months. They mostly carry tools, and in addition most (maybe all, I don't know) of them have a very large and I assume powerful arc welder on board, as do the new Mercedes. These might be, in fact, some of the oldest trucks used by any transit authority in the developed world. Can anybody think of anything older?
Jindrisska Vez, Jindrisska, Prague, CZ, 2007

Here's Jindrisska Vez, or the Jindrisska Tower, on Jindrisska in Prague. This is a favorite shooting location for Flickrites, espeically from the top of it, but oddly I don't have too many shots of it on the internet.

Well....what else would you call them? I don't know if I've ever seen hippy construction workers anywhere.....but Prague, or at the very least, if they were hippies, they didn't take it this far. :-) "At least, well, at least, at least elsewhere they stay undercover....I mean.....they could be a bad influence on...." :-) :-) :-) :-)
DPP #9118 at Vaclavske Namesti, Prague, CZ, 2007

Here's yet another of the Skoda 14T fleet, pulling out of the Vaclavske Namesti stop southbound.
DPP #9116 At Myslikova, Prague, CZ, 2007

|
Here's another Skoda 14T tram working a service through Myslikova. This shot actually came out pretty well, I think. It looks almost as if it could have been taken with a Contax as a Lomo, although they have similar strong reds, high contrast, and saturation, assuming that the film is the same, than other cameras.
