DPP #8627 From Vysehrad, Prague, CZ, 2007

All four major classes of tram on DPP run past Vysehrad, the Tatra T3 (in its various variants), the Tatra T6A5, the Tatra KT8D5, and the Skoda 14T. Here's one of the second of these, DPP #8627.
Tatra T3 and T6A5 trams, Sidliste Barrandov, Pragu…

In the Fall of 2005 I explored the new tram line to Sidliste Barrandov, looking more for Fall foliage shots than train or tram shots. In the end, I got better tram shots. I took this at the end of the line in Sidliste Barrandov, where these Tatras were on the turnaround loop awaiting their next assignment.
DPP #8699, Tatra T6A5 tram at Ujezd, Prague, CZ, 2…

I took this in the summer of 2005, in July, I think (I don't remember exactly), and it has always been one of my favorites. I like the compostion (more or less perfect for a train or tram shot), and the way the sunlight catches the tram just right. You also get to see the wye where Vitezna meets Ujezd.
DPP #8719 on Ujezd, Prague, CZ, 2005

When I took this, I was shooting solely because I liked the light and the composition. I knew that it wasn't going to be a perfect shot of a Tatra T6A5 tram. Still, it isn't too bad for that, either. It's just missing the ends. This was taken on the corner of Ujezd and Vitezna, at the Ujezd tram stop.

Here DPP #8669, a CKD-built Tatra T6A5 tram, is awaiting departure at Namesti Miru. I like the completeness of this scene, in addition to the composition.

Here's #8669 departing a few seconds after I shot the "...At Namesti Miru" shot.
DPP #8657 At Narodni Trida Stop, Prague, CZ, 2006

The Narodni Trida tram stop is actually not on Narodni Trida, but rather on Spalena next to Tesco's. A few meters behind me, the tracks curve west onto Narodni Trida at the corner of Spalena and Narodni Trida. The tram pictured is a CKD-built Tatra T6A5, similar to the T6A4 trams used in Portland, Oregon. They were some of the first new trams built after the fall of Communism, being built mostly in the mid-1990s.
Andel Tram Stop, Andel (Smichov), Prague, CZ, 2007

Andel actually has more than one tram stop, this one being in front of the Andel Metro station. Directly behind me, out of view, is the biggest Apple Computer store in Prague, and staight ahead and around the corner to the left is the Novy Smichov shopping centre. Around the corner to the right is the Kavakavakava coffeehouse, one of my favorites, and straight ahead is Stefanikova, and eventually the Mala Strana.

I saw this coming, and took the shot. The trams blurred somewhat, though, so I'm not 100% certain of all the numbers.
DPP #8609 Passing Mestan Pivovar, Holesovice, Prag…

Trams pass by the old Mestan Pivovar all the time, but this was a lucky shot.
