Back in my sister's garden while, a tad ironically, she is in my parent's house in St Day where I have spent the last 7.5 months.

My sister's take in Algete, Spain.
A pleasant shot and perhaps even more so on full screen.
Sight and Sound, just because I happened to find it and these are two artists I love; www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXgo9pkuhU8

A quiet corner in this well-preserved medieval town, an hour and a half's drive from Madrid and a magnet for weekend diners (I think there are more restaurants than year-round residents here!)
One of my first excursions outside Madrid with my girlfriend and I have very fond memories of this visit!
My first of many visits to this town and yet it seems like weeks ago, not 7 and a half years ago!
HFF, everyone!

Azca, Madrid's first major financial centre built between the 70s and 90s.
I used to walk past here in 1980, 81 and 82 when it looked like a bomb site, but that's another story!
By the way, don't ever sit on those stone seats. Excruciatingly painful. Nobody ever does. Whoever thought they were a nice touch needs to be tied down in one for at least 25 years!

There were quite a few old doors here, held together with an old shoe-lace and a rubber band or three.

Madrid, Azca Business Park, Spain, Europe, The World, The Universe. (just a little bit of help for those who, like me, like to geo-locate photos).
I have taught in most of these buildings at one time or another.

Aren't Google a bunch of sh.tes. But then we knew that already. I wonder if they know they are easily the most hated company in the universe and if so, why don't they care about that fact.My guess is that It will come out and bite them very severly. And sooner than they think!

Like many once sizeable towns in the countryside of central Spain, suffering an inexorable decline as the youngsters drift towards the cities for work. These trendy off-road vehicles belong to the restaurant / bar owner from Madrid who opens at the weekends only to cater for the Madrid weekend lunch clientele (which of course included us - the owner is a friend of a friend).

The castle at Miranda dei Castanar, Salamanca Province. The students have to bring their own chairs. They do things differently here!

Granite outcrops on the ridge, overlooking the eponymous town. No vultures on this day - I had intended to get some shots. Oh well!
And yes. I took the few steps to the end you see here. But I had put my camera back in my pocket and felt that I needed both hands for stability and so that is where my camera remained!
Anyway, this vantage-point is better!
