Chequerboard at Analog, Dublin, 18.7.08 - 16 years ago

His name is John Lambert aka Chequerboard. He supported Jóhann Jóhannsson in Dublin on July 18th as part of that weekend's annual Analog Music Festival. He quietly came out & sat down without any fanfare or introductions & just started weaving these wonderful melodies with his acoustic guitar & computer, creating his own subtle looping backing tracks live in real time, something new & captivating to me for one. The sublime soundscapes he created were an unexpected but very welcome aural pleasure…
