Normally, I want to capture special moments, and preserve what may be lost tomorrow. I have no ambition to be “artistic”, though I’m human enough to be happy when pictures turn out well.

Isartal 2

I shot the series “Isartal 1-5” yesterday evening (July 24th) between 8:45 and 8:55 PM, if not in the order of uploading. Light and sky were changing constantly. I took some thirty pictures, fingers trembling with excitement.

Icking - Alpenblick

We’ve walked these steps many times, when we went to the hotel (in the background) for dinner. The hotel has been sold, last year, and there are no visitors anymore.

Freising, an old episcopal see north of Munich, hasn’t many houses left in a shape as bad as this, but photographers love them.

Icking - Endoscopy of the “Klostermaier” inn

The inn is still there, but won’t be for long. The front windows have already been removed, and allow for an examination of the innards. Without Photomatix or a similar application it would have been impossible to catch a view of the inside AND the landscape behind the inn.
