Behind the Clouds
When we arrived, the weather in the Netherlands wasn’t quite as fair as we had wished, but then, all of a sudden, I had to think of the wise words of a good friend of mine. She once observed that, behind the clouds, the sun is shining ... always.

You know that I’m not much of a philosopher, but this I found to be true.

Thank you, Sherry. The last few days, I was troubled by a strange noise sounding in my ears, and already looking for professional help, but now I understand it was just the clock ticking down. Isn’t that reassuring?

I can’t help hoping that we won’t have to trust that there’s a sun somewhere behind the clouds, and that it will show itself a little!
