Elephants at Icking 2
It takes courage to face an African elephant at such a close distance.
As you see, after my last haircut I have to wear a cap to protect my head against the cold.

Very different indeed! And it wasn’t easy at all to take a picture and to be on it at the same time! :-)

No, we were being visited by friends with a daughter who needs to ride an elephant once a year. They were late, so nothing came of it, but it was a pleasant surprise that they at least could watch the animals walking by.

I've heard about this guy walking the elephants - I think, it was in a TV-documentary a while back. Yikes - what a sight, if you're not prepared to run into African elephants, whoa!

I have a lot of respect, and always ask myself if there’s any reason why elephants should be good-humored all the time... Anyway, my chances are better than the guy’s who’s standing before me.
