Auckland area autumn
Part of the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Westbrook Vineyard and Winery, not far from Auckland. The wine I sampled there was also very tasty.
Wishing everyone a Happy Fence Friday and a great weekend to follow.

Macro $50
For Macro Mondays weekly project No 377: theme "Banknote". This is a section of the Australian $50 note. It is soft plastic and has a clear window, as shown, with the Southern Cross stars and the value also shown.

Sunset and fence
This sunset, a few nights ago, was the best I've seen in quite a while. Best viewed large on black. Down at the left I even caught a fence. Happy Fence Friday and have a great weekend everyone.
As I noted previously, outside activities (good) are likely to make my involvement here occasional for a while yet.
Auckland from a volcano
Auckland viewed from the park on Mt Eden volcano site and crater, The distant peak, just right of centre above another viewing area, is the cone of another former volcano. As the information sign in the second PiP notes, the volcanoes began erupting in this area some 150,000 years ago. Typically each erupted only once. The most recent was 800 years ago ...... are they finished?
As I noted several days ago, outside activities (good) are likely to make my involvement here occasional for a while.
Wishing everyone a Happy Fence Friday and a good weekend to follow.

Near full moon
As it's World Photography Day and almost a full moon ( that's tomorrow in my time zone), this image was almost in the "must take" category. Best viewed large.
Grey day
Observation Point lookout at Batehaven, looking up the Clyde River estuary. There even was some rain!
Wishing everyone a Happy Bench Monday and a good week.
Roos and fence
Kangaroos behind the roadside fence, meant to deter cars from parking on the grass.
Happy Fence Friday and have a good weekend, everyone.
Winter's day
A very pleasant late winter's day at Maloneys Beach, as a friend and I went for a walk in the National Park. This view looking across Batemans Bay.
NOTE for my friends here on ipernity. Matters unrelated to photography (all good) are likely to require much of my time for a while, so I'm afraid my involvement here may be somewhat limited.
