Thats impressive

Wow! The only snake we saw in Australia was a python. Great shot and that would take your mind off everything else.

I've opened an account at 23hq, but am not overly impressed with their interface.

Not much point in killing it, William. They do a useful job of keeping pests under control and are part of the environment (while in the right place). :-)

Also, allegedly, they see off / kill brown snakes which are a more aggressive type.

I always find that idea comforting, Graham, though I must admit I'm unconvinced.

OK, Pam, you force me to come clean with the full details. :-) The situation was "tense" to put it mildly, when I captured the snake and put it in the saucepan. I thought it would be adequately confined so, despite my wife's protests, I went to get my camera. Then there was a scream as the snake climbed out while I was away getting said camera, and the whole capturing process had to be repeated. In a rush I grabbed the camera and, using whatever setting was on it (not very appropriate, it turned out), quickly took two photos and popped the lid on the saucepan before taking the snake outside.

I saw a 1.2M brown climbing the patio stairs and then disappear through a crack to under the slab, where we used to live at Tamworth.

The browns are the ones that worry me, Graham. I've now sealed where this came in, if it had been a brown I'd have been far more concerned.

You certainly know how to make a black and white image colourful, George ;-)
